Two Weeks & Nana Jo's Visit

Sorry we've been a little MIA lately, but we wanted to make sure to post today on his 2 week b-day. Things are going really well, and we had his two week follow up at the pediatrician today. He's gained 14 ounces in 7 days, putting him at 1.5lbs over his birth weight (which they are supposed to be back even with at this point). Total weight is 7lb 14oz which, even though he's been gaining so much, puts him only in the 30th Percentile for weight. He's in the 60th percentile for height at 21 inches.

Nana Jo (Justin's mom) has been here this week and of course has been unbelievably helpful. Here are some pictures from over the past week and a half.

Update

Hi All,
Sorry it's been awhile since we've posted anything. Things have been a little crazy around here. :)  The last week has been so great. I'm very thankful that the delivery was as wonderful as it was and the past week has been so much fun (and nervewracking) getting to know Keller. We're starting to settle into a good groove. I'm even more thankful that he doesn't have his days and nights mixed up. He does a great job of going down for 6 hours or so and waking up just for feedings. Of course Father's day was this past Sunday and it was such a special time for Justin and my dad as well. We've uploaded some more pictures to keep everyone up to date. CLICK HERE to see them.

Oh, and one other fun thing. We had to go the the pediatrician today because Keller's right eye was all puffy, red, and oozy. But thankfully it's only a clogged tear duct. Anyway, they weighed him and we found that in 4 days he's gained 12 ounces!

Thanks for all your well wishes. It was so much fun to hear all the encouragement as we were going through everything.

We're Home :)

Just a quick note to let everybody know we got home from the hospital around 2:00 this afternoon. It was nice to make the transition and start feeling settled here. Beth is sleeping, and will probably be doing so until the neighborhood fireworks wake her up on the fourth of July. I'll try and get her to jump online and post something tomorrow.

Day 2 at the hospital

Hey Everybody-

I understand after reading some comments and emails (*cough - Jen McLean) that you'd like more frequent posting of pictures. Here, let me put this 6 pound baby burrito down for a minute so I can type better.

Our friends Ryan & Jessica came by this afternoon for a quick visit. Ryan and I are starting a production company together and Jess worked at the same office as Beth. Ryan snapped a few photos for us while they were there.

Look at that blonde hair. And hey Keller, California called and they want the San Andreas Fault  back. That thing freaks me out a little bit, but apparently takes care of itself after a few weeks.

Ryan and Jessica...

Dr. Scott (Beth's OB/GYN) came by again today to see how momma and baby were doing. He said we're good to go tomorrow. So looks like we'll be outta here around 10-11:00 in the morning.

OK, gonna try and get us some sleep tonight before changing locations tomorrow!

Here He Is

Well, at 2:55 am this morning, Beth did an amazing job delivering Keller. He weighed in at 6lbs. 7oz. and is doing great. We've moved up to the "living" area of the hospital now and will be here til tomorrow.

It was a total out of  body experience. A lot like our wedding. Only more screaming and blood... less tuxedos. Carmen was awesome and we owe her greatly.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get this post up here, but it's been a cyclone ever since the birth. I've got some pictures here for now, but will post many more in our Picasa gallery later today. Somebody new is coming in our room every 5 minutes to do something, or ask something, or take something, or someone. We've only slept about 30 minutes or so and are trying to get Keller to feed successfully.

Alright, here's some pics....

OK, another update

Things are a little less hectic now. Got pretty intense for a while once the Pitocin set in and the contractions went off the chart.

Guess which one of us got an Epidural?

Evidently we're looking at an early morning delivery:)

Sorry McLean- I'm not gonna be able to get a video up until a few days from now!

Update from the hospital

I'm sorry, but this place makes it way too convenient for a computer junkie. I've got full signal wifi in this amazing room. Hardwood floors, recessed lighting, huge bathroom, recliner, plasma screen TV, huge windows...

Carmen, Beth's best friend from high school, is an L&D nurse here at Winnie Palmer. She works the night shift, and actually came 3 hours early and will be here til 7:00am. She actually got us in ahead of the person above us on the waiting list, which is amazing. She'll be our labor nurse through the whole deal, and Beth is really excited about that. Let's just say their relationship is going to head to a whole new level:)

Here's a picture of Beth while we were waiting to get admitted...

And here's a few of the room and Carmen shoving needles into her arm...

So, the Pitocin will start in about 30 minutes or so, and that means anywhere from 12:00am to 3:00am will be full blown go time. This will probably be my last post until then... Exciting stuff!! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

LADIES & GENTLEMAN-

I am pleased to announce after months of Beta testing, we are ready to move into v.2

For those of you unfamiliar with the lingo, that means WE'RE HAVING A BABY TODAY! Beth just got home from the doctor and we're off the hospital in a few minutes. She dilated 4 cm over the weekend and he wants to go ahead and induce this afternoon.

I'm taking the computer, so I'll try to make updates here and there as I'm able to. Keep us in your prayers!

Date Guesses for Keller's Arrival

Well at this point we're all a little surprised to realize most of the friends and family guesses as to Keller's date of arrival have passed. There are only two guesses left. Brandon (Justin's middle brother) guessed June 11th and Zoe (my niece who is 16 months old) "guessed" June 13th. We all knew Zoe was bright, but it will be really weird if a 16 month old wins the pot. (The pot still hasn't been established yet by the way....)

Here's my cute cute niece:

40 wks and counting.......

So --- here I am at 40 weeks. Please note this picture was taken BEFORE my doctor appointment this morning. Hence the happy face. :)

My due date is Monday but unfortunately I am not at all progressing toward labor. My doctor scheduled an induction for NEXT weekend thinking that I won't naturally go into labor before that. Apparently Keller is very comfy where he is and not ready to do anything any time soon! It's a little frustrating because of course I would like to go into labor on my own, but this may just be the way it is!

Update

Hello. Beth here. Yes I have not given birth yet and yes it's starting to annoy me. :) I know that I'm still technically 5 days from my due date but what's making it kind of frustrating is that I've been in early labor since Saturday. Lots of contractions, pain etc. etc. (I won't go into detail) but nothing consistent so thus no baby.

So, there's the update....

Another Great One

You can tell we're getting a little weary here in the final stretch and resorted to quick posts...
